"Regular Service Steam"
Regular Service Steam, In the period 1989 to 1994, the Victorian PTC made a decision to allow steam locos, on occasion, to haul regularly scheduled passenger and freight trains. A host of interesting and spectacular operations has resulted. This tape covers many such operations, R, J and K class locos on trains for crew training, and some magnificent performances ensued, especially R class performing Geelong passenger duties. Sixty minutes of top steam action. This tape includes:
- Early morning Seymour passenger trains with J and R class.
- R class at 100kph+; R and K class on freight trains.
- 14 car Geelong passenger trains - Steam working to diesel schedules.
